Karen Donahue, PT, DPT

Karen received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Northern Arizona University.  She then went on to receive her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis in 1990.  She continued on in her professional education to obtain her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2006 from Washington University in St. Louis.  Karen envisioned opening and operating a physical therapy clinic and in 1991 she founded Arizona OrthoSports Physical Therapy.  She is dedicated to research and has published several research articles — Osteoporosis, Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL), and Radicular Lumbar Symptoms Presenting as Localized Coccyx Pain (OPO2224).  Karen has also served dutifully on various committees for the Arizona Physical Therapy Association and was a former Chief Delegate for the state of Arizona.  Her vision is to create a healthcare setting where primary and secondary health issues are identified and treated with an inclusive program of exercise and education.  She is an avid dog lover and she enjoys hiking and the outdoors.

 

 

Liz Sinish, PT, DPT

Liz received her Bachelor’s degree, from the University of Illinois, where she majored in Honors Biology.  She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 2006. After obtaining her degree in physical therapy Liz joined Arizona OrthoSports.  Liz is also dedicated to research and has published an article — Diagnosis and Treatment of Low Back Pain Utilizing the Movement Systems Impairment Approach(OPO2248).  Her areas of interest include orthopedics, specifically back and knee pathologies. She also has an     interest in wellness and injury prevention.  She has been a member of the APTA since 2003.  Liz enjoys hiking, playing darts with friends and watching University of Illinois athletics.

 

 

Paul Gagne, PT, DPT

Paul received his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, with Honors, from the University of Toledo.  He went on to obtain his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 2006.  After finishing school, Paul joined Arizona OrthoSports.  His areas of interest include orthopedics, specifically ankle, shoulder, back and knee pathologies.   Paul is also dedicated to research and has published an article — Use of Tape, To Aid in the Correction of Scapular Impairments in Patients With Shoulder Pain: Early Intervention (OPO2211).  He also has an interest in sport specific training.  He has been a member of the APTA since 2003.  Paul enjoys golfing, playing pool, and watching University of Michigan athletics.   

 

 

 

Lacey Frankland, PT, DPT, ATC

Lacey received her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, with Honors, from Indiana State University, where she also played softball.  She went on to receive her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 2009.  After obtaining her degree in physical therapy Lacey joined Arizona OrthoSports.  Her areas of interest include orthopedics specifically, shoulder, knee, and sports specific training.  She has been a member of the APTA since 2006.  Lacey enjoys hiking, golfing, and spending time with friends and family.

 

 

 

 

Eric Horstman, PT, DPT

Eric received his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, with Honors, from Southeast Missouri State University, where he was a four time All-Conference baseball player.  He went on to receive his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 2009.  After finishing school, Eric joined Arizona OrthoSports.  His areas of interest include orthopedics, specifically shoulder, back, and knee pathologies.  He also has an interest in training the athletic population.  He has been a member of the APTA since 2006.  Eric enjoys golfing, hiking, and watching The Nebraska Cornhuskers.
